SAFETY FIRST (To help keep our teams safe, we have a few requests):
Chemical or Biological Waste: We lack the equipment and insurance coverage to handle chemical or biological waste, which includes messes involving animals.
Heavy Objects: Our team members are not able to lift items weighing more than 30lbs. If areas behind appliances or furniture need cleaning, kindly make arrangements to have them moved beforehand for everyone’s safety.
Ladders: Climbing ladders poses a significant risk of injury, with a more than 300% increase in accident likelihood. For safety reasons, we refrain from using ladders, including small step stools, and instead utilize extending poles for cleaning high and hard-to-reach areas.
Outdoors: Working outdoors without proper precautions can lead to dehydration and other adverse effects. To ensure the safety of our cleaning staff, please keep them indoors, including in areas such as garages and patios.
Pets: While we adore pets, please ensure that all animals are kept safe and secure or confined if necessary, during our cleaning sessions.
THINGS WE CAN’T CLEAN
Pest Infestations: If bed bugs or other pests are found, professional pest control and carpet steam cleaning are required before cleaning can commence. Insect-related issues will halt the cleaning process, and we’ll recommend a specialized service.
Inside Dishwashers & Washing Machines: Dishwashers may develop odors and occasionally require light cleaning. Regrettably, San Antonio Sparkling Homes does not provide this service. Cleaning washing machines or dishwashers is a time-consuming task, making it uneconomical for both parties. Should a washing machine require cleaning, a recommended method involves adding one cup of white vinegar and running a hot cycle. After completion, run an additional cycle to eliminate any remaining vinegar residue. Finally, wipe away any lingering particles.
Post-Construction Cleanings: Construction cleanings demand specific preparations and a distinctive capability to estimate the messes associated with construction work. We do not specialize in construction cleaning and therefore cannot undertake such projects. In instances where a property has recently undergone remodeling or construction, we must direct you to another service provider. If a deep cleaning has been scheduled without prior notification of recent construction work, we regretfully cannot proceed and will need to refer you to an alternative service.
Detailed Carpet & Floor Cleaning: San Antonio Sparkling Homes does not provide detailed carpet and floor cleaning services beyond sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Garages & Patios: Due to the extreme heat in San Antonio, it’s unsafe for our teams to work outdoors without proper precautions. Additionally, we don’t have the required pressure washers to clean patios and garages effectively. Therefore, we’re unable to offer cleaning services for garages or patios.
High-up Places: Safety is our top priority. As part of our safety measures, our teams are instructed to always keep both feet on the ground, which means avoiding the use of ladders, including small step stools. Instead, we utilize extending poles to clean hard-to-reach areas, although they may not reach every spot. If the cleaning task involves areas such as windows, walls, high-up cobwebs, or ceiling fans, we may need to recommend another service. Fragile Items: Light bulbs and delicate lighting fixtures are not cleaned or wiped down due to the risk of breakage.
Odor Removal: Removing strong odors such as animal waste, smoke, or mold require specialized remediation services, which San Antonio Sparkling Homes does not provide.
Outdoor or High-Up Windows: Cleaning outside windows necessitates ladders and specialized equipment for proper cleaning. Our teams focus on cleaning interior windows within reachable distances only. However, for windows exceeding 8 feet in height, we might be unable to clean them even if they are located indoors.
Specialized Pet Hair Removal: While we address general pet hair cleanup, specialized pet hair removal from upholstery, drapes, or furniture requires special training, equipment, and additional time.
Paint Removal and Construction Messes: San Antonio Sparkling Homes lacks the insurance coverage and training necessary to remove dried paint, plaster, or other construction debris from surfaces such as windows, floors, countertops, and others. Even if removal seems simple, attempting it could potentially result in surface damage. Therefore, we must refer tasks of this nature to post-construction cleaning specialists who possess the appropriate skills and equipment to address these specific situations.
Dish Unloading: While we load dishwashers, we do not unpack or put away dishes to prevent breakage and misplacement of items.
